Dominic Purcell has dropped fresh Prison Break intel, revealing that the new episodes will deal with "what's going on in the world today with terrorism".
The actor - Lincoln Burrows on the Fox series - told Deadline the nine-part revival is "dealing with ISIS and ISA".
"The show is taking place in Yemen; we're dealing with ISIS and ISA, and obviously we left off [the original series] with Michael (Wentworth Miller) presumably dead.
"He wasn't, he ended up working for this organisation. It got to the point where he couldn't do it anymore, and they threw him in a jail in Yemen to change his mind. He didn't change his mind, they set him up..."
Purcell also confirmed what co-star Sarah Wayne Callies first told Digital Spy back in February - that series creator Paul Scheuring has written all nine episodes of the revival.
"Honestly, the fans are going to be blown away by this," he said. "It's really a riveting, high-tension thriller.

"I've seen the dailies of it, and it looks like a cross between Bourne Identity and American Sniper. It's crazy. It's really, really cool."
Earlier this month, Purcell was badly injured on-set - with an iron bar striking him on the head. But he's made a speedy recovery - and revealed more plots about the scene he was shooting at the time...
"It was just basically me running into this prison to look for my brother, Michael," he explained.
"Basically, the regime in Yemen had collapsed, it was in complete chaos and turmoil, and the gates were open so all the prisoners were released. And I'm running in trying to get through and find Michael, and I can't. But then the iron bar hit me on the head..."
Prison Break will return to Fox in early 2017, airing on Thursday nights at 9/8c.
