Where has nasty Simon Cowell gone? These days he's a smiley, soft middle-aged man getting all gooey-eyed over X Factor contestants.
He even had the beginnings of a grandpa beard this week — is Simon OK?
On tonight's episode, the infamous music mogul revealed the reason behind his change of character and introduced four-year-old son Eric to Louis Tomlinson.
In between auditions, up popped Eric to sit on daddy's knee for a bit.
"We've never met," said Louis. "Hi Eric, nice to meet you. Shall we shake hands?"
Much shyer than his dad, Eric wasn't as communicative as Louis had hoped, but they still made friends and exchanged a high five — which pleased Simon no end.

Later, Louis remarked that it was lovely to see a family side to the longtime reality contest judge, who replied: "It has been the best thing in my life. You know why? Because I see everything through a more positive light now."
We're not crying, you're crying.
Big boss Simon isn't the only part of The X Factor that's all change at the moment, the show's entire format has had a rejig for this season.
Instead of adding in a separate Boot Camp after the auditions, season 15 will be the first to miss out the much-loved section.
This year, judges will have to narrow down the contestants in a photo-centric deliberation, much like in Britain's Got Talent.
Then they'll progress onto the 'six-chair challenge' to progress to the next round.
However, fans will still get to see the much-talked about 'Golden X' spot, which guarantees an act a 'Safe Seat', to go straight through to Judges' Houses round.
