McMafia is still a hit with some viewers, and still not a hit with others, as last night's (January 28) sixth episode proved.
So far, viewers have had absolutely no sympathy for most of the characters, while some episodes have been too confusing to follow – and the latest instalment again proved divisive.

Despite all that, McMafia star James Norton says the show is about to pick up the action in a major way despite the fact that there are now only two episodes left.

"The life isn't about heroes and villains, it's about the messy grey in between and that's what makes great drama," James teased during a chat with Graham Norton on his Radio 2 show.
"The beauty of the writing is you'll see in the next three episodes – it's been quite a slow burn, and episodes six, seven, eight, it really begins to spiral."

In other news, James previously insisted that McMafia is not his audition to be the next James Bond, and said he's happy with current 007 Daniel Craig.
"I hope Daniel Craig does five more movies and can keep the rumours on himself," he confirmed. "I'm a big fan of his and – selfishly – I'd like him to carry on."
McMafia continues next Sunday (February 4) at 9pm on BBC One.
