James Norton's James Bond audition BBC One's crime thriller McMafia continued tonight (January 14) and episode four proceeded to delight, annoy and bewilder in the same measures as its preceding parts.

As well as being slowly but surely sucked into the intersecting whirlpools of the Russian and Israeli criminal underworlds, on last week's episode he proposed to his girlfriend Rebecca (Juliet Rylance) – which is where McMafia lost many of you (more on that later).

McMafia airs on Sundays at 9pm on BBC One.
