Black Mirror is nearly back to remind us that technology is evil and we should really stop giving ourselves over to it (maybe one year we'll learn), and to promote her episode 'Arkangel', director Jodie Foster has been chatting to Stephen Colbert about it.

The Elysium star appeared on The Late Show to not only talk about the themes of her episode, which she describes as a short indie movie more so than any other episode, but to show off a new clip.

The clip begins at 5 minutes 12 seconds in if that's what you're after:

Foster explains that the episode is really about the 'complicated details' of a mother and daughter bond rather than the technology, although the GPS tracking chip is obviously a big plot point within the episode.

'Arkangel' will focus on that bond, as well as touching upon the themes of paranoia that comes with being a new parent.

Colbert says that he can kind of see why parents would want to get their child 'chipped' or implanted so they could be tracked, which isn't something Foster agrees with. We can see this episode causing a lot of debate when it is released.

Black Mirror will release the entirety of season four on Netflix on December 29.
