If you're anything like us, you're beside yourself with excitement for the Channel 4 series Philip K Dick's Electric Dreams to make its long-awaited premiere.
Fortunately, there's not too long to wait – and better than that, Digital Spy has been given an exclusive look at the first instalment in the anthology series, 'The Hood Maker'.
What to Read Next
Starring Richard Madden and Holliday Grainger, 'The Hood Maker' is set in a world without advanced technology, where "mutant telepaths" are humanity's only method of communication.

Madden (Game of Thrones) and Grainger (Cinderella) will play two detectives with an entangled past who seek to investigate the rebellion of the telepaths, after they discover unintended powers.
All in all, 'The Hood Maker' looks like a dark, thrilling and genuinely thought-provoking first outing into the Electric Dreams landscape, and yeah – did we say we really can't wait?
The series is a sci-fi epic of 10 ambitious and moving standalone dramas, each set in a different and unique world.
While some lie in the far reaches of the universe and time, others – as with a lot of things these days – draw parallels which feel much, much closer to home.
Stars such as Bryan Cranston, Steve Buscemi, Timothy Spall, Vera Farmiga, Terrence Howard, Anna Paquin, Julia Davis and Jack Reynor will all be making an appearance in the series when it hits Channel 4 this month.
Electric Dreams: The Hood Maker will air on Sunday, September 17 at 9pm on Channel 4.
