Susanna Reid wasn't about to let Piers Morgan take a break from Good Morning Britain without one cheeky last dig.

On today's (March 29) show, Piers showed viewers the early birthday presents that Susanna had given him, with her taking the opportunity to say everything we'd want to say to Piers.

In his birthday card, Susanna described Piers as "irritating, annoying, divisive, over-opinionated" and "most likely to start a fight in an empty room".

As he read out the birthday card, Susanna couldn't help chuckling along before Piers joked that he "wouldn't disagree with any of that".

She also got him a book called Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday which described ego as "the enemy of ambition, success, resilience" and, ever the wallflower, Piers noted: "I think I am living testament to the fact that that's complete nonsense."

Still, at least he said that Susanna had managed to get him two decent bottles of wine.

It was an eventful week for Piers last week as he was praised for delivering a passionate anti-terror speech following the London attack, highlighting that we should focus on the heroes, not the terrorist.

But that still didn't stop him from being silenced for a whole day on Twitter after enough money was raised in aid of Comic Relief, mainly from his nemesis Lord Alan Sugar.
