All the praise and attention given to John Lewis's Christmas advert has someone feeling a little jelz right now. Namely, Robert Dyas.
Desperate for a bit of the warm festive love, the high street home, garden and DIY shop has made its own riff on the now cult John Lewis ad.
Called 'Buster?... Not on my trampoline!' it's a 1-minute, 48-second piss take of JL's saccharine commercial about Buster the Boxer who has gymnastic dreams of playing on a trampoline.
Robert Dyas's clip starts out similarly to John Lewis's with tinkling piano music and a middle-aged man building a trampoline. With the sun setting and it finally built, the man has a few jumps before heading inside from the cold to enjoy a cuppa.
Next thing, we see our protagonist sat inside watching the John Lewis ad on his iPad while getting steadily more annoyed at the foxes and hedgehogs enjoying a go on a trampoline.
After searching the Robert Dyas website, our man finds a pest controller system, CCTV cameras and sensor lights to put off any wildlife intruders. Talk about a twist.
