The Musketeers will ride back onto our screens later this month.

The third and final series of BBC One's swashbuckling drama will premiere on Saturday, May 28 at 9.30pm.

It's another new slot for D'Artagnan and company - the first series aired on Sunday nights in 2014, with series two moving to Friday evenings last year.

Tom Burke (Athos) has promised that the final series of The Musketeers will explore "a universe that is less stable than the first two".

"Death and decay are casting a far bigger shadow than ever before - from the very first episode," he hinted.
