The revival of ITV's Cold Feet is coming - and now we've got more details about its return.

ITV News went behind the scenes for interviews with the reunited cast to talk about what they hope to achieve with the new series and about the late Rachel (Helen Baxendale).

Original cast members James Nesbitt, Robert Bathurst, Hermione Norris, John Thomson and Fay Ripley are all returning.

Nesbitt revealed that the first episode will see a nod to Rachel: "To be without her has been sad really, we just wanted to get a little tribute into her in the first episode which I hope she sees."

Writer Mike Bullen noted that he'll judge the comeback's success not on ratings, but the response from the show's fanbase.

"For me what will be the measure of success is if the fans who loved it first time round say we are glad it's back rather than, 'Wish they'd left it alone'," he explained.

Cold Feet is currently filming in Manchester and is set to return with an eight-part series that will air later in 2016.

Back in February, Digital Spy exclusively revealed that Radio 1 presenter and Waterloo Road star Ceallach Spellman will star in the revival as the son of Adam (Nesbitt) and the late Rachel.

The new run returns us to the characters' lives 13 years on from Rachel's death, looking at how Adam has coped raising their now-teenage son, and at the trials and tribulations the other four and their families have faced.

Cold Feet ran for five series from 1997.
