BBC One's official animated Christmas trailer is jam-packed with all of your favourite shows - from Doctor Who to EastEnders and Sherlock.

The Peter Capaldi-narrated teaser follows the adventures of Sprout Boy, who is sadly turned away from everyone because, of course, everyone hates sprouts.

However, he stumbles upon a gathering of BBC One stars and characters who welcome him to their party (possibly as a dinner course).

The trailer begins the official roll-out for BBC One's star-studded Christmas lineup.

Earlier today, BBC One announced that its Christmas Day programming block will be anchored by Doctor Who, EastEnders, Call the Midwife and Mrs Brown's Boys.

Episode one of Agatha Christie's classic And Then There Were None leads off on Boxing Day (December 26), while Sherlock starts the New Year with a Victorian era special on January 1.
