Emily Atack has shared the difficulties of hosting the upcoming gameshow Nobody's Fool. The Rivals star appears alongside Danny Dyer in the "fiendish" new quiz show, which tests players not based on how smart they are, but how smart their fellow contestants think they are.
The ITV show sees players quizzed in secret and tasked with determining who they think is the weakest amongst them and eliminating them accordingly.
Speaking ahead of the show's premiere on Saturday, 23 May, Atack opened up on how tough it was not to become invested in the contestants and their gameplay while filming.

"I had to have someone in my ear reminding me, 'Emily, no… you can’t have favourites, you can’t give any clues'," she said.
"You don’t have favourites per se, but there’s a young girl called Ella, who I identified with a bit. I wanted to root for people. But you’re not allowed to.

"I got emotional at the very end. I do find that hard, the boundaries, you can definitely read it on my face."
Dyer, however, didn't have the same issue, adding: "I knew my role was to stay out of it, so I wasn’t tempted to get involved.
"But it was hard to keep a straight face at times when people were inflating their scores so much. I just had to stay in character."

The show reunites Atack and Dyer, who both appear in the hit Disney+ drama series Rivals, which returned for season two this week.
On working with the EastEnders star again, Atack said: "Danny and I are great friends, from Rivals and everything, we really bonded.
"I had my baby and partner there with me, so he got to know my family really well. We had lovely dinners all together. Danny makes everyone laugh all day, every day… even when he’s grumpy, he’s absolutely hilarious.
"He really cares about what he does. He loves his family. We both bond over that; we work hard for our families. He enjoyed getting to know my family and seeing what I’m like as a mother. We got to know different sides of each other. I loved it."
Dyer also shared a story from his time filming Rivals after being asked if he had ever lied to get a job.

"If you watch the new season of Rivals, you’ll see me not only riding a horse but playing polo," he admitted.
"Like most actors, I’ve had horse riding on my CV since I started out, but the day finally came when I was asked to do it.
"Thankfully my character is meant to be a bit sh*t at it, so we got away with it."
Nobody's Fool starts Saturday, 23 May, at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
