Big Mood's upcoming second season has added Sherwood star Robert Lindsay to its cast as filming kicks off on the new season.
Created by Camilla Whitehill, Big Mood centres around Maggie (Nicola Coughlan), an eccentric young woman with bipolar disorder. The show provides a dark but humorous insight into how Maggie's illness impacts her life, as well as her friendship with her bestie Eddie (Lydia West).
The hugely popular series debuted in 2024, and was renewed earlier this year after becoming Channel 4 streaming's biggest new comedy launch since Derry Girls.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming for season two is officially under way and will hit our screens next year.
The upcoming instalment will feature a host of new faces, including Lindsay, Hannah Onslow, Marina Bye, Marcus Collins and Munroe Bergdorf.

When we left Maggie and Eddie at the end of season one, the pair had officially ended their friendship. Season two will pick up a year later with Eddie debuting her new best mate. How will Maggie react?
"It's been a year since Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West) last saw each other, without any contact between the best friends," reads the synopsis. "When Eddie suddenly returns for a wedding, she isn't alone — Maggie has competition, in the form of an infuriatingly positive spiritual healer named Whitney."
"Can Maggie and her special brand of chaos find space in Eddie's new life? Or will Maggie lose Eddie forever?"
Big Mood season 2 will air on Channel 4.
