BBC presenter Clive Myrie has apologised to the broadcaster over £60,000 of undeclared earnings.
The TV host fronts the BBC's News at 10 and other major bulletins, Mastermind, and often guest hosts on Have I Got News for You. Since 2021, the corporation has required non-BBC work to be declared for its financial records in order to maintain transparency.
The Times reports that the undeclared money comes from four corporate speaking gigs between January and June this year, for the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association, law firm Allen & Overy, investment bank ING, and the Association of Insurance and Risk Managers in Industry and Commerce.

The BBC told the publication that the first event wasn't included due to a "processing error".
"There appears to have been some administrative errors in relation to entries on the register. These will be reviewed," a spokesperson for the BBC said.

The four events, and the amount of money Myrie earned for them, will be included in the BBC's next quarterly report.
Between 2023 and 2024, Myrie earned between £310,000 and £314,999 for his work as a news reporter. That salary doesn't include any non-BBC work, but it also doesn't include projects like Mastermind, which are paid through the broadcaster's commercial arm.
The BBC airs the news multiple times a day on BBC One, while the BBC News channel runs for 24 hours a day.
