A Place in the Sun star Laura Hamilton has shared a relationship update following her divorce.

The presenter, who came second in the 2011 series of Dancing on Ice, split from her husband Alex Goward in 2022 after ten years of marriage. The pair share two children together, ten-year-old son Rocco and nine-year-old daughter Tahlia.

Last month, Hamilton revealed she had "been on a journey" since her divorce, which has led her to start dating and "having fun" again.

Speaking to OK! at the National Television Awards earlier this month, Hamilton addressed recent rumours that claimed she'd found love in a new relationship.

"Apparently so – but I certainly haven't confirmed it!" she said. "The thing is, I did a magazine interview recently where I said I was dating, and enjoying myself.

"But there's all this speculation now that I am in a relationship with somebody. But I've not confirmed or denied that. I've actually joked that I might even have a man in every country."

Hamilton went on to explain that she continues to prioritise her children's wellbeing following the divorce, and detailed how she's found co-parenting with her ex-husband.

"It's funny, Alex and I actually separated three years ago. So, in my mind it feels like a long time ago," she said. "It's just that we navigated it in quite a private but very positive way. The kids were and remain our priority, and they're great.

"We co-parent really happily, you know. And I suppose it's testament to that thing of.. when two people separate and there are children involved, it doesn't have to be bitter and nasty. The kids are the priority. So that's kind of always been our big focus."

Hamilton has been a presenter on Channel 4's house-hunting series A Place in the Sun since 2012. She has also presented renovation series Cowboy Builders & Bodge Jobs, and led the revival of iconic '90s gameshow Fort Boyard: Ultimate Challenge. In 2022, she began presenting live features and viewer competition segments on This Morning.

A Place in the Sun airs and streams on Channel 4.
