Loose Women has marked the “end of an era” with a big set change for their 25th anniversary.
Yesterday’s (September 2) edition of the ITV daytime show kicked off with its stars entering the studio together from a new set of sliding doors directly behind the panel.
Posting from behind-the-scenes, the official Loose Women Instagram account showed panellists Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Dame Kelly Holmes and Brenda Edwards being briefed by a staffer on their new entrance.

“We’ve got a new opening, we’ve got a new entrance,” Ruth tells the camera. “So we’re now being taught how to walk. I need it! But there is a gap there so we might get our shoes caught.”
Pointing out the fact that she and Ruth are wearing heels, Coleen notes: “Well me and you will.” The camera then pans to Brenda, who proudly quips that she has come prepared with pumps on.

Warning to mind the step, Ruth declares: “So nothing to worry about at all.”
However, Coleen jokes about the potential for a disaster, predicting: “One day, this is going to be on It’ll Be Alright on the Night.”

Brenda also tries to get her colleagues to get into the spirit by singing a pump-themed song, saying: “Come on girls! I mean, nobody else wants to pump it up.”
Appearing later on the show, Ruth noted the entrance change as she and Coleen admitted they were “nervous” backstage.
“I thought, 'Don’t fall over!'” Ruth told the audience.
Many commented on the new change-up, with presenter Rylan Clark writing in the comments: “The end of an era!”
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
