Rochelle Humes apologised as she broke down in tears during Tuesday's (July 30) episode of This Morning.
The star hosted the show alongside Dermot O'Leary, with one segment being dedicated to the aftermath of the Southport knife attack, which saw three children killed and eight others injured after being stabbed during a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class this week.
During the broadcast, fellow presenter Deidre Sanders began to welcome in callers, with one caller saying the tragic events in Southport left her with a feeling akin to when she lost her own grandchild.

"I've got four children - it was my daughter that lost her daughter. I want to talk about her all the time but other people, not so much. She's a teacher, she's gone back to work. She's remarkably strong but obviously she's broken. We're all in pieces."
Rochelle, Dermot and Deidre were all visibly moved by the phone call, with the former Saturdays member apologising as she wiped away tears. Deidre subsequently suggested a charity, Compassionate Friends, for anybody struggling with the loss of a loved one.
Merseyside Police confirmed that a 17-year-old, who was born in Cardiff, has been arrested following the incident in Southport, which still sees five children and two adults remain in a critical condition in hospital.

Swift has today released a statement in reaction to the news, writing on Instagram Stories: "The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I'm just completely in shock…
"The loss of life and innocence, the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, the first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families."
