New action-adventure fantasy series Renegade Nell is now streaming on Disney+.
Set in England in 1705, Derry Girls star Louisa Harland plays Nell Jackson, a returning war veteran who is forced to go on the run with her sisters after being framed for murder.
Turning to highway robbery to survive, and given superpowers by her plucky sidekick Billy Blind, Nell Jackson is drawn into a magical plot against the Queen of England and realizes her quest for justice stretches further than she ever imagined.

All eight episodes of Renegade Nell are now streaming on Disney+ after releasing all at once on March 29, 2024.

Renegade Nell is written and created by Happy Valley's Sally Wainwright, with directors from Sex Education, Gentleman Jack and Ted Lasso directing episodes.
Alongside Louisa Harland as the titular highwaywoman, Renegade Nell also stars Joely Richardson (One Day), Adrian Lester (Trigger Point) and Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso), Frank Dillane (Fear the Walking Dead), Alice Kremelberg (The Sinner), Ényì Okoronkwo (The Lazarus Project) and Craig Parkinson (Doctor Who).
Rounding out the cast are Bo Bragason, Florence Keen, Pip Torrens and Jake Dunn.
Renegade Nell joins other original shows on Disney+, including superpowered British comedy Extraordinary, recently released Charles Dickens series The Artful Dodger, football reality series Welcome to Wrexham, and the popular drama Shōgun.
