Peter Capaldi's new must-see thriller series Criminal Record is now streaming on Apple TV+.
The eight-part drama series set in contemporary London sees the Doctor Who star play seasoned Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty, who is drawn into a confrontation with June Lenker, a younger detective sergeant played by Stay Close's Cush Jumbo, after an anonymous phone call brings them together over an old murder case.

Criminal Record has eight episodes in total, with the first two episodes out now after releasing on January 10, 2024. New episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays until the finale on February 21.

Criminal Record will show a tug-of-war between Hegarty and Lenker, when Jumbo's character discovers that an innocent man may be locked up due to an old high-profile case being mishandled by the respected detective played by Capaldi.
According to the synopsis, the series will thread a criminal mystery with "issues of race, institutional failure and the quest to find common ground in a polarised Britain".
Starring alongside Capaldi and Jumbo are Dionne Brown (Queenie), Stephen Campbell Moore (Masters of the Air), Zoë Wanamaker (My Week with Marilyn), Charlie Creed-Miles (Peaky Blinders), Cathy Tyson (Help), Shaun Dooley (Black Mirror) and Rasaq Kukoyi (Andor).
Criminal Record joins other original shows on Apple TV+ including the critically acclaimed crime drama Black Bird, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, Hijack, Silo and many more.
