New pictures of Michelle Keegan filming season 6 of Brassic have dropped, seeing the actress reprise the role of Erin Croft.

The former Coronation Street star is part of the cast of Sky's acclaimed dramedy from creators Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst.

In the new snaps from set, Keegan can be seen wearing black trousers and a denim jacket with a white fur collar. In one of the images, she walks past a police car on her way to fill up her car tank, presumably after running out of fuel. In a second shot, Erin stands next to Bronagh Gallagher's Carol Dennings as she's about to put petrol in the tank.

Premiered in August 2019, the show follows Gilgun's Vinnie O'Neill and his group of friends living in the fictional northern English town of Hawley, where they resort to petty crimes to get by.

Season 5 is still currently airing ahead of season 6 and is due to air its season finale on November 16. There isn't a release date for the sixth instalment just yet, but it seems likely the new chapter will premiere at some point next year.

In the meantime, fans will be treated to the show's first-ever Christmas special this holiday season.

Filmed in September, the special is said to feature a big-name casting, though no additional details on the plot or the ensemble have been provided.
