SPY x FAMILY season 2 has released a first-look trailer ahead of its release in October, teasing more madcap drama and (perhaps) a little romance.

The show, which first aired in 2022, follows the lives of the Forgers - a less-than-usual family made up of a superspy, an assassin, and a telepathic schoolgirl.

The trailer reveals that the much-teased (and much-shipped) pretend marriage between Loid and Yor might be leading to some real feelings, as we see the former ask the latter out on a date.

We also get a glimpse of more Anya-focused chaos in SPY x FAMILY season 2, with the trailer showing her creeping around in bushes, stalking her parents, and generally being the best.

SPY X FAMILY season one released similar trailers ahead of its second cour, which mainly teased the events of the first few episodes - and we can expect the same to be true here.

What to Read Next

That might account for the lack of a few, much-anticipated details from the teaser. SPY x FAMILY fans are particularly excited for an arc of episodes set on a cruise ship, expected to be part of season 2.

The show is returning on October 7, according to an announcement on the show's official website, and will air in Japan at 11pm. International Forger fans are still waiting on exact release timings from Crunchyroll.

As well as a new anime season, SPY x FAMILY fans are in for a treat this year, as a spin-off movie titled CODE: White is set to release in cinemas in Japan this December.

SPY x FAMILY is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
