Inside No. 9 will return this Christmas for a special episode starring cast members from Coronation Street and The Witcher.
Series creators Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton have dreamed up a spooky haunted church for a one-off episode also starring former Corrie actress Shobna Gulati and Doctor Who and The Witcher veteran Simon Callow.

However, unexpected guests Pierce (Reece Shearsmith) and Posy (Shobna Gulati) and the property's warden warden Dick (Simon Callow) repeatedly interrupt Pierce's demand for solitude.
But, why is Pierce so intent on spending the holiday alone?
"We discussed many, many different ways of presenting a Christmas special and the one we were really excited by was Christmas ghost stories," Pemberton said.
Stage and screen legend Simon Callow revealed that he'd long wanted to appear in Inside No. 9 after hearing about its reputation.
"It’s a very sparky, original series. Mention of it always provokes gargles of admiration. I thought I’d like to be part of that," the actor said.
Shobna Gulati added: "It has its own unique genre of TV, something you can’t put in a box. Often a perfect blend of drama, comedy and horror. To be a part of this is very special to me.”
Returning alongside the show itself will be its companion podcast Inside… Inside No. 9, launching a new episode on BBC Sounds on Christmas Eve where Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton break down their new instalment.
A proper eighth series of Inside No 9 is also on the books for the BBC, set to premiere in 2023. Older episodes are available to watch on BBC iPlayer until then.
