ITV documentary Kate Garraway: Caring for Derek was met with an incredibly emotional response this evening (February 22).
A continuation of last year's Finding Derek, the new documentary caught up with Good Morning Britain presenter Garraway as she welcomed home her COVID-stricken husband Derek Draper, who'd spent over a year in hospital and now needs 24/7 care.

The cameras followed their two young kids giving him a first hug at the door to Derek's low-key birthday party, along with the aftermath of an accident on Bonfire Night and a trip to the US to see an experimental neurologist.
In between harrowing fly-on-the-wall insights, Garraway herself contemplated the lack of a system aiding those devastated by the virus.
Her GMB colleague and close friend Ben Shephard appeared in the programme too, sitting down with Garraway at her kitchen table as she opened up, while also sharing some well-needed laughs.
