Former Great British Bake Off host Sue Perkins has opened up about her "painful" fallout with judge Paul Hollywood back when the show was acquired by Channel 4.
Appearing as a guest on Jessie Ware's Table Manners podcast, the television presenter recalled when the news broke in 2016 that the beloved series would no longer be airing on the BBC.
Instead, it was swapping networks – so co-host Mel Giedroyc and celebrity chef Mary Berry took a stand. But Hollywood – persuaded by the wage increase – controversially jumped ship, however, and the former trio were replaced by Noel Fielding, Sandi Toksvig and Prue Leith.

"When we were there [on the show] he was really good fun, and things happened that made us sad and incredibly hurt," Perkins began. "He was always like family, for years and years and years.
"It's painful when those things end...I'm devastated about what happened but I feel talking about it is just uncool and you start pointing the finger."
During the chat, Perkins also revealed that a couple of the creations seen on the show were, in fact, made by her and not the professionals.

"I made a lot of bread – I was quite good at making bread. A few of the Paul Hollywood hero bakes were made by me, actually, and my mates in the prep kitchen at the back."
