Jenna Coleman has conceded that she'll have to relinquish her Victoria crown "at some point" in the near future.
The ITV drama concluded its third series on ITV tonight (May 12), and Jenna previously spoke to Digital Spy and other media about the challenges she'll face playing an older version of the monarch.
Following in the regal footsteps of Netflix's The Crown, Jenna has admitted that the issue of recasting is "in the back of everyone's mind", conceding that there's "definitely a point" where another actress should take over the reigns. Ahem.

"You see me on screen now with seven children but she is only 30, so I'm only just playing 30, 31, now," she explained. "But obviously there's definitely going to be a point where [I need] four hours in make-up."
She continued: "That's going to be a really heartbreaking thing. I feel like over the last couple of years I'm growing older with her.

"It's six months a year. The hours you spend on set – I spend more time being Victoria than being Jenna when we're filming."
It's not only Jenna who isn't keen on considering her replacement – series writer Daisy Goodwin also told us that the current set-up "works brilliantly".
Praising Jenna's "very convincing" portrayal of Victoria, Daisy said: "I think she could play 10 years older, and she brilliantly did 10 years younger. But I think 20 years older is a bit of a stretch.
"I think when actors have to spend another hour in make-up every morning, it's no longer fun, so we'll see."
When asked if there was a future Queen in the running for future series, Daisy declined to name any names at the risk of "jinxing" it.
"I have somebody in mind [to play the older Victoria]," she revealed. "But if I say it, it will be jinxed, so I couldn't possibly say."
Our money's on Olivia Colman, whether it makes sense or not. After all, who wouldn't want to play two monarchs?
