These are uneasy times, but even if you're both tucked up in your respective homes on Sunday, it doesn't mean you can't show your mum you care. There are plenty of online flower delivery services that you can order direct to her door, even if you can't be there to give them to her yourself.
A vase of pretty blooms will rarely – if ever – disappoint (especially if you know mum's favourite flowers) – and will add some cheer to her kitchen table despite any additional stress she might be under. Plus, flowers can be ordered right up until the last minute, so it's a great choice if you happen to be the more forgetful type.
Our friends at the Good Housekeeping Institute have spotted some decent discounts on letterbox flowers and other flower delivery services to help mark the occasion on Sunday – and save some money at the same time.
This brand came top in the GHI's letterbox flowers tests. It's offering a very impressive 35% off all bunches for new customers with the code MDF35. The letterbox flowers are handy for ensuring mum does get her gift safely if you know she'll be out on Sunday, but there are plenty of other options, such as hand-tied bouquets, house plants and some little hampers too.
There are a range of deals at Flying Flowers on its Mother's Day flower range. You can save £10 and the brand will throw in some free chocolates on selected bouquets, or it's offering 25% extra flowers on others, so you can treat mum to something a little more lavish than usual.
Zing is another of the GHI's top letterbox flower services. Until midnight on Saturday, you can get a 15% discount and some free chocolates with orders over £30 from its Mother’s Day collection. Just use code RADIO to get the discount.
M&S scored highly for both its letterbox and classic bouquets in GHI tests. The discounts here aren't as impressive as some, but there is £5 off a number of its pretty bunches online – and this impressive lily trough.
Save up to £10 off some of Serenata's gorgeous bunches. We recommend the aptly named 'Mother's Day Surprise' bouquet, with its ample selection of beautiful pink lilies.
There aren't huge savings to be made at Appleyard, but as it's one of our favourite services, we wanted them to make an appearance on this list. You can get a £5 discount on three of its lovely Mother's Day bouquets.
