If you're hoping to find a good deal in Amazon Prime's second 2024 sale you're running out of time because the sale ends at 11.59pm on October 9 – that's tonight!
During the event, I spotted deals on everything from laptops and Chromebooks to board games and pet products. You can even stock up on everyday essentials like batteries and cleaning products for much less than you'd normally pay.
But, as always, technology is the star of Amazon Prime's 2024 sale, with prices slashed by as much as 44%. Apple products are rarely discounted, so I was surprised to see this AirPods deal.
While I'm still rocking my second-generation headphones, I'm seriously considering upgrading my tech for this deal. The Apple AirPods (3rd generation) are now just £129, a 13% drop from their usual price of £149. This deal isn't exclusive to Prime members, so anyone can buy it.

Why I like the Apple AirPods (3rd generation)
I might be the only person in the world that can't handle earphones with that extra little silicone tip that rests inside your ear canal. Maybe it's my ear anatomy, but the AirPods and Apple wired headphones (remember those?) have always been my go-to devices for playing music, podcasts and seven-minute voice notes, sitting snugly in my ear. I never feel like these headphones are uncomfortable, so can wear them for hours a a time.
I have no complaints about my AirPods (2nd generation), so why upgrade? Firstly, these newer AirPods have an increased battery life of up to 30 hours, up from 24, meaning there's less chance of me losing charge just as my favourite song starts playing. You can also play for up to six hours without plugging back into your lightning charging case.

Third-generation AirPods are also now sweat and water-resistant, perfect for the Great British Weather, and have added spatial audio technology and dynamic head tracking, which basically means it feels like the sound is all around you. Adaptive EQ will also automatically tune music to your ears, something not present with my second generation 'Pods.
