It's been the will they, won't they Ross and Rachel debate of recent times, and the possibility of downloadable, offline-friendly Netflix content seems to have taken a sizeable step closer to reality in recent weeks.

With CEO Reed Hastings having recently softened on his firm 'never gonna happen' stance to declare he was keeping an open mind about the idea, fellow Netflix bigwig, CCO Ted Sarandos has now openly conformed offline Netflix viewing is in the works.

With the long coveted feature now becoming more of a case of when, not if, a new question is being posed by expectant users: "Will we have to pay more for offline viewing?"

Although Amazon Prime Instant Video offers offline viewing without extra costs, Sky's Sky Go service comes with a monthly premium for those wanting to take their content on the move.
