Remember MySpace? Well, if you left a little more behind than embarrassing photos and a profile that archives your high school music taste then maybe you should be worried.
According to a report from Motherboard, a hacker has managed to steal 427 million MySpace passwords.
After allegedly stealing the passwords and 360 million email addresses, they then apparently tried to sell the lot for $2,800.
It is thought that the data is being shared underground by other hackers.
While initially this news makes us think the hacker is stuck in the early '00s, it does cause problems for users that have had the same password for years and use it for other sites and applications.
The hackers also made a list of the most popular Facebook passwords, with the first being 'homelesspa' and the second being 'password1'.

Motherboard's report noted that the same hacker was previously linked to the LinkedIn breach in which 117 million passwords and emails were obtained.
In short, the moral of the story is that we might need to change our passwords.
