We recently heard that YouTube is busy working away on its long-rumoured premium service, but the video sharing platform also has a few other surprises up its sleeve.
The Google-owned site tweeted during VidCon 2015 to announce that it is working on virtual reality support soon.

"Virtual reality is coming to YouTube with 3D, 360-degree video. More details soon! #VidCon," they said.
YouTube already has a handful of 360-degree videos up and already supports 3D too, so VR seems a natural way forward.
Judging by the photo attached to the tweet, YouTube hopes to support virtual reality with Google Cardboard.
As the name indicates, the accessory is made from cardboard and requires some minor origami to put together.
