Microsoft's latest entries into the tablet market, the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2, have been made available for pre-order in the US.
The tablets, which were announced at a launch event on Monday (September 23), have been put on Microsoft's US online shop.
The Surface 2 is being sold at $449 (£280), while the Surface Pro 2 has a price of $899 (£560).
Microsoft is currently stating that pre-ordered devices will be shipped by October 21.
The Surface 2 is said to have ten hours of battery life, whilst Microsoft claims the Surface Pro 2 is more powerful than 90% of laptops.
The two tablets will be available in China in November, and they are expected to be made available in other countries before 2014. However, pre-orders and pricing for the UK have not yet been announced.
