Jemima explains that she can provide for the Kennedys, allowing them to retire early and move to Robinson Heights. Karl is keen to think about it, but then Susan discovers that Jemima is suspicious that her 4-year-old grandson is only interested in her for her money.
Susan admits her reservations to Karl – pointing out that Jemima's wealth has brought her the opposite of happiness. She wants to turn down Jemima's offer. But can Karl walk away from the promise of unlimited wealth?
Meanwhile, Steph agrees to give Gary a promotion and pay rise. He heads off to meet the bank manager to secure his loan, but is dismayed to hear the process takes two weeks. He'll break Xanthe's heart if he doesn't stump up the money for her uni fees, so a guilty Gary takes Jeremy's bag of $100k from the Retreat.
Elsewhere, Sonya and Toadie head off to the US for a family holiday.
