Next week on Neighbours, explosive storylines come to a head and dramatic new ones begin as the iconic Aussie soap celebrates its 40^th anniversary.

Fans can expect a wedding, a shock death and the return of some familiar faces as Neighbours goes all-out to celebrate its impressive milestone.

On the morning of her wedding day, Krista wakes up with Sebastian in her bed. After being manipulated by her sister's deception, Krista thinks that she's retaliating against Leo for supposedly cheating on her with Fallon.

The truth is revealed as Fallon confesses to Krista that she lied about sleeping with Leo and has been secretly trying to break them up. Fallon shares her jealous motive, explaining that she was once engaged to Sebastian but he broke it off because he liked Krista more.

Krista questions whether she can go ahead with the wedding when it'd be based on a lie. She receives some encouraging advice from Paul, who doesn't know the truth about what she's hiding.

Krista decides that the ceremony should take place as planned, but Sebastian is still lurking nearby. Will he ruin the big day?

Melanie is among the guests at the wedding as she returns to support Krista.

Lucinda Cowden, who bowed out as a show regular late last year, has returned for a short guest appearance.

Newcomer Agnes Adair visits the area to view Nell's 'Story of Erinsborough' exhibition. After seeing photos of Madge recently, JJ is struck by how much Agnes looks like her.

JJ brings Nell in on the mystery and they discreetly take photos of Agnes when they see her again later on.

JJ invites Agnes to take a tour of Eirini Rising. When Harold, Karl and Susan see Agnes, they're stunned by her clear likeness to Madge.

Agnes feels overwhelmed by everyone's attention. Although she's just as curious about her possible connection to Madge, she's reluctant to stick around as she doesn't want to upset Harold.

Chelsea returns to town with a newborn baby boy after being tracked down by Remi. Paul and Terese spot her immediately and they realise the obvious implications of her having a child.

Paul demands a paternity test when Chelsea confirms that the father could be either him or IT technician Jeffrey. Chelsea agrees to make the arrangements and promises everyone that she's a reformed character who's not out to cause any trouble.

Jeffrey is summoned to Ramsay Street to provide a sample for the DNA test. He promises Chelsea that he'll support her if he's the father, although he senses that she'd prefer Paul to be the dad.

Terese worries about the consequences of Paul potentially being the father, knowing that she'll struggle having Chelsea in their lives forever. Despite this, Paul admits that he wants to be the dad as this could be his second chance after tragically losing David last year.

Later, Paul gets his wish when a phone call confirms that he's the daddy.

Paul consults with Remi and Cara as they all discuss how best to support Chelsea and the baby. Chelsea's saintly act continues as she insists that she wants what's best for everyone, including Terese.

Later, Terese is faced with the reality of the new family set-up when she finds Chelsea and the baby with Paul at the penthouse. Paul assures Terese that she's his top priority, but is this enough to set her mind at rest?

With Max still in danger, he secretly meets up with Roxy at the garage to discuss his next move. They're interrupted by Sadie, Byron and Nicolette, leading to an emotional reunion for the group.

Carter's accomplice Lachie watches from afar and goes on the attack, throwing a Molotov cocktail at the garage which sets the building alight.

Byron, Sadie, Max, Roxy and Nicolette get trapped in the flames. Roxy and Max spot a way to escape and call for help, while Byron watches on in horror as Sadie and Nicolette are surrounded by flames.

Sadie and Nicolette both end up collapsing as the danger mounts. Making a split-second decision between his girlfriend and his sister, Byron chooses to save Nicolette first.

Although Byron plans to rush back for Sadie next, it's too late as part of the burning building falls on her and causes some nasty burns.

Later at the hospital, Sadie receives urgent treatment but refuses to see Byron afterwards. Devastated that he wouldn't help her when she needed him most, Sadie is determined to cut him out of her life.

There's a bright spot for Sadie when Wendy makes her long-awaited return, having rushed back to be at her daughter's side.

Terese brings in a new tenant for No.22 now that she and Nell have moved into the penthouse. The mystery man turns out to be Susan's scheming nephew Darcy Tyler, who hasn't featured in the show since 2005.

Darcy comes face-to-face with the Kennedys and reveals that he's had his medical licence reinstated. He claims to be a changed man, but Karl and Susan aren't sure what to believe.

By the end of the week, a body is found in Lassiters Lake.
