One resident is rushed to hospital as a frantic Susan and Karl watch on. In a bid to locate Terese, Susan reaches out to Paul, who's equally baffled by her absence. Acting on a hunch – and on Terese's recent odd behaviour – Paul seeks her out at her home. His worst fears are proven right when she answers the door in a drunken state.
Terese is mortified to discover what happened at Eirini. After arriving at hospital, Terese lies to Karl and Susan about her absence – a strong sleeping pill was the culprit.
Later, Terese discovers a car crashed into the gas meter at Eirini Rising and is determined to find out who did it. Paul brings Terese back home and they discover her car tail light is smashed. Terese has no idea how it happened but Paul has a horrifying inkling – she was the one who smashed into the gas meter.

Meanwhile, after Aaron sees Cara look at a donor website, she confides in him about Felix's donor offer. Cara asks questions about Aaron's experience with Nicolette and can see their bond is strong. She goes to broach the topic of Remi that night, but Remi falls asleep before she can do so.
Elsewhere, with the realisation that it's nearly Halloween, and that her time in the share house is short-term, Sadie begs Byron and Nicolette to let her host a Halloween party. When they tell her they're both working Halloween night, Sadie has an ingenious idea – a day party. They'll invite all the neighbours and everyone can show up in their ghoulish best.
Their initial worry is how Vera will react to the noise, but they come up with a solution… invite her along. It ends up being a day of fun and frivolity, although Aaron is uncomfortable to see Rhett and he confides in Nicolette that Rhett lied about why he was at the open house – Aaron can't trust him.
Later, a drunken Vera suggests she's had such a blast at the party that they should make it more permanent and she should move in. Byron and Nicolette aren't on board, but Vera confides she's about to be homeless and Rhett sold her house for her.
On hearing this, Aaron realises Rhett lied to keep Vera's confidence rather than for some nefarious purpose and they make peace. But now that the housemates know Vera has nowhere to live, what will they do?
