A raging Sadie shows up on Byron's doorstep, stunning the Stone siblings when she reveals she's moving in with them to escape her parents' marriage dramas. While Sadie quickly settles in, Byron's put in an awkward spot – he loves her, but he doesn't want to take such a big relationship step simply because Sadie wants to punish Wendy and Andrew.
Nicolette urges her brother to be honest, but his first attempt doesn't go down well, offending Sadie. Eventually the couple get back on the same page, with Byron assuring he sees a big future for them.
Mollified, Sadie agrees it's for the best if she stays living in the Rodwell house for now. However, after a tense conversation with Andrew, Sadie declares she won't be returning.

Nicolette pushes her mother to be more overt, and Jane asks him over for dinner. Her invitation unwittingly foils Melanie's own plans to have Vic over and finally find out if there's a possible romantic future for the two of them.
Unaware of Jane's intentions, Vic promises Melanie he'll be over for dessert. But as dinner winds down, and Vic still fails to take the hint, Jane shocks herself by making a bold move – she grabs Vic and kisses him!
