On the eve of the opening of Eirini Rising, Harold returns to Erinsborough. Terese and Toadie host a welcome dinner, reminding Harold how loved he is by the community.
The next morning, Harold moves into his studio apartment. As the opening gets under way, he's struck by unexpected feelings of emotion. Susan and Toadie worry he's grappling with having to face up to the next stage of his life, however Harold later confesses a more sentimental reason for his melancholy: being back among friends is reminding him of Madge.
Terese is full of anticipation as everyone gathers at Eirini Rising. Susan is by her side, though a series of small moments remind us of the tension between the pair over their working styles.
