The gravity of the decision hits the street hard and they all grapple with Elly pleading guilty to a crime she didn't commit. Not everyone agrees with her choice, but will it pay off?
Meanwhile, the rest of the street are none the wiser as Karl and Susan remain at odds. The stress on their relationship is exacerbated when Susan is reminded of her fatal mistakes again back at school by a troublesome parent. Karl wants to support her but he can't get through. The rift is widening between the Kennedys.
Elsewhere, it's Mackenzie's first day back at school, but she can barely focus given the situation with Mannix at home. She's stressed out by his secretive behaviour, and her uncharacteristic mood causes Harlow concern. When Mackenzie skips class, Harlow follows her back to her apartment to find out what's going on. Harlow's arrival is busted by Mannix and he's not happy.
