Pressure is mounting on Elly from her mischievous student Dean. After Elly failed to give him the alcohol he requested, Dean ups the ante by stealing a picture of her real 7-week ultrasound and lauding it over her. Fearful of the damage he could do by sharing it with Mark, and anxious about how the stress of this mess might harm her baby, Elly is at a loss.
Leo advises Elly to come clean, but she's afraid to lose Mark and resolves to never tell him. Shocked, Leo tells Elly he will keep her secret but can't be her confidant anymore. Little does she know that Finn has become curious about her relationship with Shaun and noticed her tense interactions with Dean.
When Finn snoops and finds the ultrasound Dean stole from Elly, the puzzle pieces start coming together. Finn confronts Elly and asks if she is pregnant with Shaun's baby.
Meanwhile, Bea remains guilty after helping Finn when he considered running away – especially since she's continuing to lie to Ned about it. Determined to strengthen her relationship, Bea makes herself more at home in the Willis house, staying over and accepting Ned's offer of a drawer in his room.
Ned welcomes her commitment and love, glad to feel they're in a good groove. But Bea's efforts unravel when Finn accidentally reveals the truth to Ned about what she did last week. Stung by the betrayal, Ned is even more concerned by the developing closeness between Finn and Bea, and more determined than ever to rid Finn from their lives as soon as possible.
Elsewhere, with her daydream about Kyle fresh in her mind, Amy seeks to relax and enjoy her relationship with Gary. But it's easier said than done. Kyle interrupts them in the throes of passion, which makes for an awkward moment. Things get even worse during a family brunch with Terese and Paul, when Amy accidentally calls Gary, “Kyle.” Determined not to be shaken by the slip-up in front of Paul, Gary is forced to stomach his embarrassment. Though it was an innocent mistake, things are far from perfect between these fiancées.
