Finn doesn't arrive for his regular assessment with David, but Bea manages to get in touch and explain the situation. David's compassion for Finn outweighs his suspicion, and he is convinced not to report Finn's misstep to the authorities. Aaron baulks at David's leniency and this causes friction between the couple as Aaron still refuses to believe Finn is truly a changed man.
Convinced by Bea to return, Finn finally arrives late to their appointment, and David begins his sessions with Finn. David is impressed by Finn's ability to show remorse and empathy for the people whose lives he is making difficult. David is increasingly convinced Finn is genuine. But Aaron can't hold his tongue and later snaps at Finn, leading Finn to an outburst where he unloads about the way the community has treated him.
Later, Ned is increasingly rankled at Bea's conviction that Finn is innocent of the string of mysterious crimes going on in Erinsborough. He doesn't want to upset things with Bea, but is tempted to find out what's really going on.
Meanwhile, Roxy continues to infuriate Paul. Her antics wind him up and Paul's patience is wearing thin. Aware of this, Roxy is interested to observe Paul secretly handing over money to Chloe, and she suspects he's up to no good. When Paul finds out that Roxy and Leo are going into business together, he decides she has to go.
Paul gives Terese an ultimatum – it's him or Roxy. Roxy's frustrated and hurt by the idea that Terese might send her packing, but finds a way to turn the tables - she will tell Terese what she saw between Paul and Chloe, unless Paul changes his mind and tells Terese to let Roxy stay.

Elsewhere, Kyle and Chloe keep up their secret saucy relationship, engaging in some risky backyard shenanigans in nothing but Kyle's toolbelt. Amy and Gary are in a good place, but Amy begins to worry Kyle has no-one to open up to about his recent separation from Georgia, and questions his evasiveness about the whole subject.
