The Kennedys rush to warn their neighbours and retrieve the contaminated fruit. Toadie saves Hugo from a close call, but it's too late for Aaron, who has a nasty cut to his hand. While the community instantly suspects Finn, the Kennedys defend their new ward, fearing it could be someone acting in retaliation for them taking Finn in.
Ned and Toadie warn Bea and Susan that the incident proves they've brought danger upon everyone by bringing Finn to Ramsay Street. They implore them to see that now is the time to rid themselves of Finn. But committed to their path, the Kennedys resolve to stay the course, tasking Mark and the police to uncover who it was that tried to harm them and their neighbours.
Meanwhile, Terese wills Paul to be on his best behaviour for Amy and Gary's upcoming engagement party and suggests he play nice by offering to make a speech on the day. A reluctant Paul agrees, but remains determined to see Kyle break up Gary and Amy before they make it down the aisle.
But time is running out: Amy and Kyle are finished with the Robinson Pines handover and Kyle is now hooking up with Chloe. It spurs Paul into targeted action. While Terese shares her delight with Ned over the fact she feels like Paul is turning a corner, she remains blissfully unaware that Paul has approached Chloe to make a deal – he's willing to pay her big bucks to stay away from Kyle.
