After learning that Johnno was responsible for Bridget's death, Declan confronts him in his hotel room and demands to know why Johnno tampered with the Parkers' vehicle. When Johnno denies any knowledge of the accident, Declan becomes upset and is swiftly thrown out of the room by one of Johnno's henchmen.
Meanwhile, Rebecca is worried that Declan's anger and grief is beginning to consume him. Unable to locate her son, and with him ignoring her calls, Rebecca alerts Ringo and Zeke to Declan's disappearance and the boys offer to help track him down.
At Harold's Store, Lucas is unable to pay for his groceries after his credit card is declined. Moving to Charlie's Bar, Lucas challenges a guy playing pool in the hope of scoring a windfall. However, Ringo and Zeke rumble Lucas's plans and tell him about Declan being missing. It soon clicks in Lucas's mind that Declan is most probably at Johnno's and the trio rush off to save him before something bad happens.
A short time later back at Ramsay Street, Rebecca is relieved when Declan returns home safe and sound. An upset Declan tells his mother that he can't believe Johnno is getting away with Bridget's death, while Paul phones a mysterious second party.
Later, Paul informs Declan that he's left a present for him on the sofa and Declan is surprised to find a tape recorder hiding behind a cushion. Arranging with Rebecca to look after India, Declan insists he's going to play footy with Ringo and Zeke before rushing off back to Johnno's hotel room.
Declan confronts Johnno and after a brief conversation manages to get some form of confession out of him. Once Declan leaves, Paul arrives and lets himself into Johnno's hotel room. Paul promises that seeing as Johnno kept up his end of the bargain by confessing, Paul will keep up his end by getting Johnno the best lawyer in town. When Johnno is escorted down to the police station, has he made the biggest mistake of his life by trusting Paul?
Later at Harold's Store, Dan tells Lucas that he's always there to support him and an appreciative Lucas promises he'll pay his brother back the $1,000. A short time later, Libby arrives and, despite earlier commenting how she wasn't sure how to act around Lucas, offers him her support too. However, back at number 30, Lucas faces a temptation too great for him to ignore. Will he betray the ones he loves most?
