The following morning, Ramsay Street is shocked to see Elle's story splashed across the front page with the headline 'Gambler mechanic causes teen tragedy'. Declan confronts Lucas over the article while Elle explains to the others about Johnno tampering with the Parkers' vehicle. An upset Declan heads down to the police station to find out just what is going on in the case about Bridget's death. Despite learning Johnno is responsible for the Parkers' accident, Declan learns some news that could very well push him over the edge.
Later, Lucas tracks down Johnno to the hotel and offers him a proposition - one last double or nothing poker match. If Johnno wins he can double Lucas's debt, but if Lucas wins Johnno must turn himself in. Will Johnno accept Lucas's proposition?
