Colby finds out that Chelsea hasn't told her family about their reunion and engagement yet. Colby is both shocked and amused, although he's aware that Chelsea's dad – Inspector Neil Campbell – isn't his biggest fan since his River Boy past was exposed. Chelsea promises that not only will she call her Dad ASAP, she has no doubt it'll all be fine.
After some encouragement from Willow, Chelsea calls her father, but it goes to voicemail and she ends up delivering the news about the engagement as a garbled message. When Colby hears about the voice message, he teases Chelsea about being scared, which Chelsea denies.
Later at the police station, a call comes through from Neil and Chelsea discreetly ignores it. She tells Colby that she simply doesn't want to have the conversation at work, but when Neil himself arrives at the station, tense and wanting to have a word with his daughter, it looks like Chelsea and Colby both have cause for concern.
Meanwhile, Justin is relieved when Willow reveals that she's choosing him over Dean. When Willow falters, it's clear that she's still struggling with the choice. Colby is shocked to learn about Willow severing ties with Dean, particularly that it's come at Justin's request. When Colby crosses with Justin the following day on the beach, he makes a comment about Willow not being entirely happy with the situation.
In the end, Willow admits to Justin that while not having Dean as a constant in her life will take some getting used to, she wants to for the sake of giving her and Justin's relationship a fighting chance. Willow then has a further chat with Colby where she tells him to keep out of her business.
Elsewhere, Leah comes to see Brody about doing another video for her website, tentative about his response after the emotional toll the last one took. But Brody is happy to do it and agrees to provide an update on Raffy's health in answer to all the questions and comments that have been flooding in.
