Having completed shooting two American films, Steve Peacocke will be returning to Australian screens.
The former Home and Away star has been cast in drama series Wanted, produced by Rebecca Gibney and commissioned by Seven.
"I wanted to play something with a bit more of a rough edge, a bit more ordinary," Peacocke told The Sunday Telegraph.
Wanted is about two complete strangers who are caught up in a deadly carjacking and are forced to rely on each other to survive.
Peacocke will play a police officer trying to find the women. He stars opposite Gibney, Geraldine Hakewill and Nicholas Bell.
The show begins shooting tomorrow in Brisbane and is set to air next year.
It was recently revealed that Peacocke is returning to the Bay for a top-secret storyline, just months after he was presumed dead.
