Denny Miller's upcoming exit from Home and Away will leave many fans in shock but actress Jessica Grace Smith has admitted that she was pleased with the dramatic plot.
In scenes that aired last week in Australia, Denny was killed amid a fight with Charlotte King that went drastically wrong.
The storyline marks the end of Smith's stint on the show, but she admits that she couldn't have been happier with her character's death.
Speaking to TV Week, she said: "On a show like Home and Away, it's nice to have that kind of closure.
"When you leave a show like this, there is always a chance you will come back. I would prefer to say my goodbyes and move on."

Viewers will remember that Denny's boyfriend Casey Braxton was killed last year after being shot by Jake Pirovic, and Miller noted the parallels in the two stories.
She said: "It was a shock I was going to die. It was almost a year to the day since Casey was killed and so Denny's death is kind of a mirror of that. Now they are both dead they can be together at last."
UK viewers will see Denny's final scenes later in the autumn.
