Kirby is back from the city, where she has been working with Forrest. Justin is keen to know how soon the news will be out that she has gone solo. Kirby confirms it'll be tomorrow, but this is bad news for Justin – it means that in less than 24 hours, the Lyrik he has been promoting will no longer exist.
When Justin sees Kirby and Forrest at Salt later, he seizes his opportunity and pleads his case to Forrest – asking if there is any way he can delay the announcement. Forrest is clear that he won't budge as he needs to do the best by Kirby now, but Justin can't resist appealing to Kirby when he sees her the next day. He argues that Lyrik are her friends, and this announcement could damage them.
Forrest fronts up at the Morgan house later with an update – confirming that they'll delay the announcement. Before Justin can celebrate, Forrest hits him with another bombshell – they're withholding all copyright permissions. This means Lyrik won't be able to play any songs Kirby composed on.

Meanwhile, Harper and Dana have an explosive fight at home. Dana still loves Ollie and can't see that he has betrayed her. Harper urges Dana to think with her head for once but Dana rails at her sister – arguing that she never gave Ollie a chance.
Harper is left horrified when a hurt Dana storms out of Irene's, risking her cover in a bid to get away from their tension. She follows in hot pursuit, urging her sister to go back to the house. Harper then receives a message from Cash – he finally has the case file. With Dana back in hiding, Cash meets with Harper for an update – the case has plenty of holes.
Elsewhere, Rose is still reeling from her discoveries about her biological father and confides in Mali and Kirby – she envies their attachment to their culture. Hearing them talk about their heritage, she's hungry to know about hers. Rose pulls up outside a lavish home, looking at an address scrawled on a pad. Is she going to meet her father tonight?
