Harper continues to harbour Dana at Irene's. The sisters are anxious for an update from Cash. When Cash bails on Eden to attend to Harper, Eden's hackles are slightly raised. Eden ends up getting the gossip from John, who explains that he noticed Harper's uncomfortable reaction around the police. However, he adds that Harper seems very comfortable with Cash.
When Eden sees Cash chatting to Harper later, she grills him and asks what he's helping her with. She's somewhat troubled by this secret he's keeping, but later brings doughnuts as a peace offering and to prove that she trusts him.
Harper finds Dana trying to call her ex-boyfriend, the one who got them into this mess by lying to the police. When Cash arrives to see Harper, Dana is forced to hide. Harper seeks news on her sister's case but it's a slow burn on Cash's side as he can't even get the case file.

Later, Dana listens intently as Cash updates Harper again. When she sees Harper's phone unattended, she impulsively tries to text Olly. Harper only catches her at the last minute and is staggered, questioning whether she wants to be caught.
Meanwhile, tensions continue to be fraught between Xander and Rose, as he hasn't accepted her search for her biological father. Rose confides in a supportive Mali, explaining that she hasn't told Xander about the lead she found because she doesn't want to risk making waves before they have more information.
At the station later, Rose's curiosity gets the better of her and she looks up the record for Samuel Edwards. Caught red-handed by Cash, she spills – Samuel was born in Cape Town, and so she could be half South-African. Rose also finds a marriage certificate and realises that he was definitely married when she was conceived. When a call to her mum is met with resistance, it seems to be confirmed – Samuel Edwards must be her dad.
