Cash arrives at the hospital to investigate Bree's accusations against Dean. An overwhelmed Ziggy becomes frantic – calling out to Dean, who tries to push past Cash. With Dean refusing to back down, Cash is forced to take Dean to the police station.
Ziggy and Mackenzie try to convince Bree she has got it wrong. Bree defends her actions and points to Dean's aggressive and controlling behaviour, as well as Ziggy's unaccounted bruising. She even suggests that Dean pushed Ziggy down the stairs. Upon hearing this, an already emotional Ziggy becomes enraged, kicking Bree out and demanding she get a new doctor.
After questioning him at the station, Cash lets Dean go but tells him he can't see Ziggy until after he has interviewed her and concluded the investigation. Later, when a contemplative Bree overhears Dean's obvious care for Ziggy, she realises she has made a terrible mistake.
Meanwhile, following a failed first date, Xander lies to Stacey about how it went. However, Irene tells him not to tie himself up in knots trying to be something he's not. With this in mind, Xander tells Stacey that he is a one girl person. Stacey thinks he needs more than one date to know, but Xander knows what he is. They both wish they felt differently – Stacey gives him a kiss on the cheek goodbye.
