Kirby walks out on Bob after his plea about wanting her back. Trying to talk sense into Bob lands Felicity in a difficult position, as Bob needs a place to stay. Bob is desperate and argues that it's only for one night. Tane and Nikau aren't happy about Bob's return but tolerate his presence.
Needing to clear her head after the altercation with Bob, Kirby asks Theo for some space. An understanding Theo puts his concerns aside, giving Kirby the night to herself. Grateful for his patience, Kirby assures Theo that he's the one she wants, despite Bob's longing to get her back.
A devastated Bob witnesses the couple's intimate reunion and his hopes dashed. Bob's last-ditch effort turns bitter when Kirby puts a clear line in the sand, declaring that Bob is not welcome in her life.

Testing the waters, Cash presses Tane for details on the wedding guest list. When Cash makes a case for inviting Gary, Felicity accuses him of guilt-tripping. She claims that inviting Gary will only serve as a painful reminder of her father's absence.
Also today, a magnanimous John pulls Marilyn aside to say he's glad she has safely returned to Summer Bay after the Heather disaster. Marilyn is painfully aware of the fact that John has learned that Heather is her secret daughter. John only has kindness for Marilyn, telling her that he's sorry that she felt compelled to keep Heather a secret all these years. A grateful Marilyn thanks John for supporting her when all her other friends doubted her.
Finally, Alf thanks Marilyn for talking sense into Roo about maintaining her tutoring business, despite the Heather setback. With a new spring in her step, Roo returns to tutoring. Overhearing Roo's reflections on helping people again, Marilyn lands on an idea: they could work together on a charity project.
