Felicity is determined to play matchmaker between her brother and best friend, but Cash is not ready to take a chance on Eden after his run of romantic bad luck.

As a peace offering, Cash reaches out to Eden. However, a heartbroken Eden isn't interested in friendly small talk – she wants as much space from Cash as possible.

With marriage plans under way, Felicity and Tane have diverging ideas of what a wedding should be. Felicity wants a party of epic proportions, but Tane craves something more traditional to his Māori roots. It seems the task of matrimonial compromise is already under way.

Felicity gets on top of wedding plans by asking Eden to be her Maid of Honour. The two rebels don't care much for tradition, deciding to do this wedding on their terms. Elsewhere, the Summer Bay friends wring their hands waiting on news of Marilyn's whereabouts. Alf fears that the tone of Marilyn's letter sounded like a final goodbye. True to his word, Cash locates the missing Marilyn. Unfortunately, Cash is forced to be the bearer of uncomfortable news: Marilyn is safe but wants to remain uncontactable. A devastated Irene and John feel shut out, bracing to spread the difficult news around the Bay.
